Nepal Spectacular Tour begins as we complete our one day sightseeing around culturally affluent capital city of Kathmandu and fly towards naturally blessed paradise city of Pokhara. We dwell into the few delightful activities until an end of the day and take an hour drive to Lumle – trek start point. Next morning take a gradual hike to Birethanti. We continue our walking holidays through beautiful and culturally rich Gurung villages, and colorful rhododendron forests. When rhododendrons blossom entire hills turns red as if nature is blushing. To make it picture perfect combine that with spectacular vistas of high himalayas on the background.

 

With dream like memories of in our head, we return to Pokhara and get set ready to raft on Seti River from Damauli to Gai Ghat. This white water rafting simply adds a flavor of adventure in our Nepal Spectacular Tour. Furthermore, after couple of hours drive we arrive at popular Chitwan National Park where we get an exclusive opportunity to experience wilderness jungle activities, like wildlife safari, bird watching, local Tharu cultural exploration and witnessing flora and fauna in natural state. Finally, we return Kathmandu with whole lots of delightful memories that we cherish in years to come.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Welcome by our representative and transfer to the hotel. Brief explanation about the trip program.

Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02: In Kathmandu

Half-day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa.

Day 03: Kathmandu-Pokhara

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport for a 35 mins flight to Pokhara. Arrive in Pokhara, meet and  transfer to hotel. Evening boating at Fewa Lake .

Day 04: Drive Pokhara-Lumle (1hr). Trek to Birethanti (3,750' | 3-4hrs)

After breakfast drive to Lumle – our trek start point and meet your guide and porters. Our walk will follow a ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurnas with surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where Ker & Downey’s Sanctuary Lodge is located. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. Lunch is at the lodge followed by an optional walk to the village of Birethanti. Or you may choose to spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding river valley (Trek time 3-4 hours).

Day 05: Trek to Ghandruk ( 6,600' | 5-6hrs)

After breakfast, we leave the lodge walking out through the outlying farms following the Modi River Valley. Soon we begin to climb out of the valley & up towards the mountains. The trail passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Snacks are provided along the trail. Hot lunch is served on arrival at the lodge in the early afternoon. (Trek time 5-6 hours). It is from this lodge that there are magnificent close up views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 06: Trek to Landruk (5,412' | 4hrs)

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast and the glorious views from the Himalaya Lodge, we start our trek to Landruk. After leaving the village of Ghandruk, the trail descends steeply to the banks of the Modi River. Here, you’ll be at the base of the cliffs where the famed honey hunters of Nepal climb on ropes to collect the honey. You’ll then cross a strong suspension bridge to the opposite banks of the Modi. From here is it about a hour’s trek up switch backs and steps to reach the village of Landruk. Landruk affords more glorious views of the Annapurna range. Trek time about 4 hours. Arrive in time for lunch. Your guide will take you on a exploration hike of this mountain village after lunch.

Day 07: Trek to Majgaun (4,620' | 4hrs)

After breakfast, we leave the Bee Lodge & trek to Ker & Downey’s Gurung Lodge. Today’s trek contours the side of the hill, with small ups and downs, passing through villages and farmland. Trek time to the Lodge is about 4 hours. You’ll reach the Gurung Lodge in time for lunch with optional afternoon hikes to the surrounding villages.

Day 08: Trek to Dhampus (5,000' | 4.5hrs)

This morning we start out trekking through the unspoilt village of Patlekhet. Our walk takes us through sub-tropical forests that include tree orchids, rhododendrons and magnolias. Along the way, we will stop at the village of Pothana where many Tibetan traders live and sell their souvenirs. After about 4 ½  hours, we arrive at the Basanta Lodge. From the lodge, there are sweeping views of the entire Annapurna Range.  After lunch at the lodge there will be an optional walk through the old village of Dhampus.

Day 09: Trek to Phedi (1.5hrs). Drive to Pokhara (30mins)

After an early breakfast, we depart along the ridge & descend through the wooded hillside and terraced farmland to the valley floor. Trek time 1 ½ hours. We then transfer by vehicle to Pokhara (30 minutes). Optional: On the way back to Pokhara, you request to stop at the Tibetan refugee camp where you will have time to explore the temple complex.

Day 10: Drive Pokhara-Damauli (1.5hr). Raft on Seti River

After breakfast transfer from Pokhara to Damauli, a journey of some 1½ hours through the countryside. Here we will be met by our experienced boat crew, who will give us a full briefing prior to launch. The Seti River has no road access so the river and surrounding valley remain unspoilt. Floating down the river gives us a chance to see village life along the banks as well as the abundant variety of birds. There will be a picnic lunch on a sandy beach on the way to the camp. Today, there are 2 small rapids of no more than grade 2 and are no longer than 50 metres or 165 feet. The remainder of the trip is very much a float experience. Upon arrival, you will be shown to your safari style tent with beds, changing room, veranda and attached bathroom. Rafting time about 3 hours depending on water levels.

Day 11: Raft to Gai Ghat . Drive to Chitwan National Park ( 40mi | 2hrs)

The morning is spent rafting. There are 5 class 2 rapids. Again, each is no more than 164 feet. The remainder of the trip is a float when you can enjoy surrounding countryside. Rafting time will be 2 to 3 hours depending on water levels. On completion of the rafting, transfer by vehicle to Chitwan. Arrive Chitwan Check in hotel. Evening enjoy with the slight show presenter almost all activities in Chitwan.

Day 12: In Chitwan National Park

Full day jungle activities in Chitwan National Park. Elephant safari, boat riding, Jeep safari, Tharu village tour , elephant breeding centre etc.

Day 13: Bharatpur-Kathmandu

Morning bird watching and after having breakfast you will be transferred to the airfield for your 30 minute flight back to Kathmandu. Meet and transfer to your hotel.

Day 14: In Kathmandu

In the morning, optional mountain flight: experience the most spectacular mountain flight in the world (flight fare $240 to be paid directly). The plane departs Kathmandu and flies eastwards, alongside the Himalayas, giving you eye-level views of the highest peaks on earth, including Mt. Everest for about one hour. Afternoon at leisure or shopping.
