Our Annapurna Foothills Trek begins as you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport followed by whole day cultural sightseeing around UNESCO world heritage sites at Kathmandu valley. On the first of our Annapurna foothills trek, we fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara; take a short drive to trekking start point at Nayapul. After getting off the car and before heading to our first day destination Tirkedhunga a good leg stretch is not a bad idea.

 

Gradually pushing ourselves further through beautiful rhododendron forests crossing suspension bridges over river streams, we arrive at Ghorepani. And next morning, we get ready to spectacle best sunrise panoramic views over Annapurna Himalayas including Dhaulagiri and Machhacpuhre. Overcoming few ascends and descends; we return Ghorepani. From there we head towards Tadapani and passing  through a beautiful Gurung villages of Ghandruk. After a few long descends and ascends we head towards Pothana from where we take a drive to Pokhara  and fly back to Kathmandu which concludes our Annapurna Foothills Trek.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (4,600′)

Welcome by our representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. 

Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Full day Kathmandu city Tour (B)

After breakfast, proceed your trip to visit historical and cultural places of Kathmandu.

Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Fly Kathmandu-Pokhara (2,995'). Trek Tirkhedhunga (5,174′) (B, D)

An early morning transfer to domestic terminal and take a short (25 mins) flight  to Pokhara. Meet guide and porter and drive to trek start point. Trek to Tikhedhunga. (Approx 3 hrs)

Overnight in Tirkedhunga.

Day 4: Trek from Tikhedhunga To Ghorepani (9,350′) (B, L, D)

This is a pleasant walking day today. We trek through rhododendron and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we head up to Ghorepani. (Approx 5:30 hours).

Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 5: Trek Ghorepani-Poon Hill-Tadapani (8,268') (B, L, D)

An early start and an hour hiking to Poon Hill (10,482 ft) leads us to a brilliant spectacle, this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. After spending about 40 minutes on the hillside, we come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and start walking to Tadapani.

From Ghorepani the trail climbs along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (9,711 ft). We descend to reach Banthanti before winding our way to Tadapani. (Approx 6 hrs).

Day 6: Trek Tadapani-Ghandruk (6,398') (B, L, D)

Our descent brings us to the village of Ghandrunk around noon. We have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation office and museum , as well as take time to explore the village – this the biggest Gurung village in this area.

Day 7: Trek Ghandruk-Pothana (6,529') (B, L, D)

After breakfast we cross the suspension bridge and walk between green paddy fields along the Modi Khola.

After walking about an hour we gradually start climbing up through forest following the route to Dhampus. The views on your back as you walk on, are simply breathtaking. You can see the Modi valley, Machhapuchre, Annapura South, Himchuli and Ghandruk village and Tadapani region, a wonderful feast for your eyes.

Down below you will see miniature Birethanti villages, and to the north-west you will see Ullire villages, Ghorapani and Poon Hill ridge all lush green and bewitching – during spring mosaic of red, yellow, green, blue simply takes your breath away – they being distant innumerable flowers in their prime.

Day 8: Trek Pothana-Phedi. Drive to Pokhara. (B)

Our last day of trekking is just a short 3 hour journey downhill to Phedi. The first part of the trail is a pleasant walk through the woods. We continue to wind our way through the towns and terraced fields and then hit the long, long staircase that leads down to Phedi. We will drive back to Pokhara from Phedi.

Day 9: Fly Pokhara-Kathmandu (B)

After breakfast, transfer to Pokhara airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Meet & transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure  or shopping.

Day 10: Departure (B)

Transfer to airport for your homeward bound flights.
